The Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception serves the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. The basilica also has 70 chapels honored by American renditions of classical catholic scenes and is dedicated to Mary, catholic immigrants to the country and religious orders which was a key factor in building the basilica.
