Walter Reed Army Medical Center

The Walter Reed Army Medical Center is the United States Army's medical center. It is spread on 113 acres of land in Washington DC serving 150,000 active and retired people from all branches of the military. It has got a very old history of serving the military personnel. It was named in the honor of an army physician, Walter Reed who discovered that yellow fever is caused due to mosquitoes rather than direct touch and contact.

The center has got over 5000 rooms and in coming years will be expanded after combining with the Bethesda Naval Hospital. In addition to the Walter Reed Army Medical Center complex, it also hosts a number of related events and activities under some organizations. Some of them include:
