Brought to life on the Holy Land of America by Rev. Charles Vassani and Fr. Schilling, it was earlier created in huge debt. However once it came into being, the debt transpired out almost automatically. Legend has it that at one time; Rev. Vassani had to sell bricks to get this constructed.

Franciscan Monastery is so named as the building has been given to the care of Francis Order. It was created primarily by Aristide Leonori in Byzantine style. Some artistic creations are housed as exhibits and Brother Leoni's works stand tall among them.

Its collection of Roman catacombs is quite sought after and is shown during scheduled tours. The meandering tours trough classic plant species allow further endearment to visitors.
