The Lincoln Theatre was closed after the riots in 1968. However, it was restored and started functioning in 1994. Now, it is the host of a wide range of performances and events. During your travel in Washington dc you can visit this theater and attend some of its events.

The Lincoln Theatre opened in 1922 and was sold to A.E. Lichtman in 1927. The ballroom of the theater is known as Lincoln Colonnade. Right from its construction, this theater has hosted many performances by popular performers like Duke Ellington, Louis Armstrong, Pearl Bailey, Ella Fitzgerald, Lionel Hampton, Billie Holiday, Cab Calloway, and Sarah Vaughn. Other programs which were held here include television related events, boxing fights, etc.
