Ronald Reagan National Airport(DCA/KDCA) is the closest and is just three miles from center of the district. In order to make it to Washington DC from the airport, you can hire a taxi or just take metro, yes there is a 'metro shop' at the airport.

You can even take 'Super Shuttle' from 5:30 AM until 12:30 AM and the tickets for shuttle services can also be purchased from the airport.

Dallas International(IAD/KIAD) is another major airport which is located in Dulles of Virginia and is around twenty three miles from the district of Washington DC.
