The main scoreboard in the stadium is 31 meters long and 14 meters high making it one of the largest scoreboards in any sports stadiums. The Nationals Park is one of the first sports stadiums in USA to be accredited by the Leadership in Energy and Environment Design(LEED) for its green design. The structure and facilities in the stadium is designed to minimize water pollution in the Anacostia River through techniques of storm water management. The other green features of the Nationals Park are high efficiency lighting, low flow plumbing fixtures, recycled construction material and low emitting finishes.
