The Cemetery will be open from 8am to 7pm daily from April through September. During October to March the cemetery hour will be from 8am to 5pm. The visitors are allowed to walk through the ground and there are guided tours available for $7.50 to know the history of the Cemetery. More than 330,000 American Serviceman were buried in this cemetery. The cemetery is located in 624 acres of landscape.

The grounds where the war heroes of United States rests in peace is the famous Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia. This 624 acre area is home to veterans and casualties from several wars of the country ranging from American Civil War to present day wars of Afghanistan and Iraq. It is a place to visit to honor the heroes who gave up their lives for the country.

The cemetery is subdivided into 70 sections. The sections designate specific burial ground. Section 60 is meant for the casualties of Iraq war. Section 21 is designated for burial of the nurses who were casualties of wars. One section deals with the 'tombs of the unknown'. Some sections have been reserved for expansion in the future.

The United States Department of Veterans Affairs is responsible for the placement of inscriptions and faith emblems at no charge to the estate of the deceased, submitted with information provided by the next of kin, which is placed on the marble headstone.
