Albert Einstein is one of the most renowned genius scientists in the world. His memorial is a 21 foot bronze statue which was dedicated in 1979. It is found across the street from the Veterans Memorial on constitution Avenue. The statue has a star map of Einstein feet is included and has more than 2,700 metal studs that represent the positions of the sun, moon, planets and stars on the day the statue was dedicated.

On his left hand is a paper which has mathematical equations that has his most important scientific contribution to the world. The theory of relativity among others is included in this piece of paper. The memorial is open every day all day and night and admission is free for the people who would like to visit it. The statue is found on a flight of stairs.

The memorial is found in an elm and holly grove in the southwest of the academic ground. The statue is 12 feet high and three caissons are sunk in the bedrock to support the monument. The statue was made by Robert Berks who is famous for the John F. Kennedy portrait busts. The landscaping was done by James A. Van Sweden. Einstein has been elected a foreign associate in the academy after he became a citizen.
