Greenbelt Park - An Ideal Place for Family Camping

Greenbelt Park, a National Park, under the United States National Park Service, is a wholly wooded area about 10miles north-east of Washington D.C. The park is an ideal family camping site given its proximity to the city and highway and the facilities that are provided there.

Entry is free but camping costs $16/night regardless of the number of people and you may pay only by cash or check at the park. You are welcome to use any of the campgrounds and if you are looking for a day's pleasure then the 3 picnic spots might be a better option. If you are camping, note that the checkout time is 12 noon.

Greenbelt Park offers several activities for you and your family. There are totally four hiking trails, each marked by a unique color and all can be trekked depending upon the weather. Greenbelt has stereotypical weather; hot and humid summers with the occasional thunderstorm and cold winters.
