The 16th temple of the Church of Latter-day Saints's Washington Temple foundation stone was laid in 1968 and is one of the tallest structures among the other temples of LDS. There is an eighteen foot statue of Angel Moroni weighing two tons that sits atop the tallest tower.
The site of the Washington Dc Temple is a peaceful area on a 52 acre hill surrounded with woods, and flower gardens. People can come with their families or alone to pray and also enjoy presentations and exhibits to feel the holy spirit.
