The Hurricane Harbor has one of the largest wave pools with Castaway Creek, Bamboo Chutes, Tornado funnel Ride, Hammerhead, Paradise Plunge, Bahama Blast family raft ride, inner tube flume, splash pool, lazy river, and various kinds of other water slides. This amusing water park is located on Central Avenue, which is just 30 minutes from downtown Washington DC.
The harbor usually starts its season on Saturday May 22nd. It usually remains open from end of May to early September, although the hours of operation vary from season to season. You can also hire private cabanas here. The best part is you don't have to buy a separate ticket to enter this Caribbean based water park as its ticket fee is included in the admission fee to Six Flags.
