
What does the Washington DC law say about landlord tenant relationship
If you have rented out your house or taken a house on rent in Washington DC then you are protected by the Residential Landlord Tenant Act of 1985. According to the act the landlord cannot charge more then one month's rent as security deposit. The upkeep of the premises is the landlord's duty and must provide the tenant with a copy of the agreement between them.
