The District of Columbia Public Library is the most frequented library in the city of Washington and if you are looking to get a library card here, there are a few formalities you should be aware of. They are as follows:
Eligibility for the Library Card:
Only an individual, who is a resident of the state, is an honest tax payer or attends college or school in the city is eligible to apply for the card. Also, people belonging to a few counties are also allowed to apply. Theses counties include:
- Arlington
- Montgomery
- Falls Church
- Prince William
- Fairfax
- Prince George's
- Frederick
- Alexandria
- Loudoun
Some of the documents required include: rent receipt, apartment lease, utility book, driver's license, etc.
