Who planned the city of Washington DC
It was The McMillan Plan, an architectural plan that the city of Washington DC is built on. It is named after Senator James McMillan, the chairman of The Senate Park Improvement Commission of the District of Columbia at the time this plan was proposed.
The plan led to the creation of DC's National Mall and the Burnham-designed Union Station. Though, some hurdles were faced and the plan was even interrupted during World War I, it was finally completed with the construction of the Lincoln Memorial in 1922.
