
Interstate 66 highway route in Washington, DC
Interstate 66 is one of the interstate highway routes running from Middletown, Virginia to Washington, DC. This highway route follows West Leg of Inner Loop freeway and help in free movement of vehicles during rush hours. The highway route crosses Potomac River on Theodore Roosevelt Bridge and then turns immediately to north while separating from US 50 highways.
Later the highway interchanges with E Street Expressway before passing through a short tunnel in Virginia Avenue. After having an indirect interchange at Rock Creek Parkways the I-66 terminates at ramps of L Street & Whitehurst Freeway.
