According to the DC Law and the Living Wage Act of 2006, $12.10 per hour is the minimum living wage that an employee has to be paid by his contractor or sub contractor.

This living wage act is applicable only to District contracts for services in the amount of $100,000 or more and sub-contracts under those contracts in the amount of $15,000 or more. The contractor is required to pay their affiliated employees under these contracts nothing less than the living wage rate.
