The Baltimore aquarium is located at Baltimore in Maryland and was established in 1981 which was distinct originally from the aquarium in Washington, DC.

These two aquariums have the same title. But the aquarium at Washington is older where as the Baltimore aquarium is bigger and has more funding compared to the aquarium at Washington.

In 2003, a decision was taken and it was confirmed that the Baltimore National Aquarium would be operating the aquarium at Washington, DC.
