Byrd Stadium is located in the University of Maryland's campus. It is the alma mater to numerous national championship lacrosse teams, both for men and women. It has over 50 ACC track and field champions. It has had the honor of being a host to the Queen of England. NCAA Men's Lacrosse Final Four has been regularly held on these grounds. It was named after H.C. Byrd who was a multi-talented athlete. At first it was just a small complex stadium.

Byrd Stadium was built at a cost of $1 million. This was built in order to replace a much smaller stadium which had the same name. The expansion plans are still on and it is getting renewed day by day. It is a perfect venue for you to visit if you are a sports lover.
