Ford's Theater is the historic theater in Washington DC, United States. The theater was established in the year 1865. the theater was used for the various stage performances in the city. After some years the theater was used as a warehouse.

The theater was renovated in the year 1960's and opened as a theater to the public. The theater was renovated again in the year 2000. Now the Ford's theater National Historic Site houses the two buildings; Peterson house and the theater. The theater is the site of the assassination of Abraham Lincoln in the year 1865.

The Ford'S Theater is the most visited and national historic site of Washington DC. The guests are educated about the story of Abraham Lincoln's assassination in the National Park Guide. The box seat in the second floor of the theater was the place where Abraham Lincoln was sitting when he was killed.

The ground floor of the Theater is the Ford Theater Museum which has the collections of Abraham Lincoln's life and the situation of his assassination. The theater is not only the memorial site if Abraham Lincoln but the theater also serves the city by hosting variety of live performances through out the year.

The Theater will be opened daily from 9am to 5pm. The theater will be closed in the Christmas day. The theater is a producer of performances and it produces five performances per year.
